Helpful Tips for Fertility

Fertility is influenced by many factors — some medical, some related to everyday life. Small, consistent changes can meaningfully support your reproductive health, and understanding what those changes are is a great first step.

Start With the Basics

A balanced lifestyle forms the foundation of good reproductive health. Staying within a healthy weight range, getting regular moderate exercise, and sleeping consistently all support hormone balance — which plays a central role in fertility for both men and women.

Avoiding smoking and keeping alcohol intake low are two of the most impactful steps you can take. Both have been associated with reduced fertility, and both are factors entirely within your control.

Manage Stress Where You Can

Chronic stress can affect hormone levels in ways that make conception more difficult. This doesn't mean stress causes infertility — but finding simple, regular ways to decompress — walks, breathing exercises, spending time with people you trust — can be genuinely beneficial.

If you find that worry about fertility is itself becoming a significant source of stress, speaking with a counsellor who specialises in this area can help. Many of our patients have found this type of support valuable alongside their medical care.

Track What You Know

Understanding your cycle is useful whether you're trying to conceive naturally or preparing to see a specialist. Note the length of your cycles, any irregularities, and how you feel at different points in the month — this information gives your doctor a much richer picture from the first appointment.

If you've been trying to conceive for more than a year without success — or more than six months if you're over 35 — it's a good time to book a consultation. Seeking help earlier rather than later simply gives you more options.

How Bnoon Can Help

At your first consultation, our specialists take the time to understand your full picture — lifestyle, history, concerns — before making any recommendations. There is no one-size-fits-all path to parenthood, and we don't approach it that way.

Whether you're just beginning to think about fertility or have been trying for some time, we're here to answer your questions honestly and help you understand your options clearly.
